Please, help me graduate

Hello, my name is Jisselle Izaguirre, a pharmacy student and this is a little bit about my story and journey to becoming a pharmacist. I joined Larkin University College of Pharmacy in 2020 and it has been an amazing journey. I have been blessed to create a family within the school with some of the most amazing amazing colleagues and faculty I’ve ever met. I made a goal for myself since day one and that was to give all I had to offer to the program and to my peers. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to help others in this journey as well by providing tutoring sessions and study guides to help support their studies which led me to realize that I loved teaching and would probably liked to do a fellowship. I’m the immunization officer for APhA which has given me the opportunity to do important presentations to inform others such as information on the HPV vaccine. I’ve been the class president for the past two years and I couldn’t be more grateful to have represented such a special group of students and be able to speak up for our needs to be met. I became a Brother of Phi Delta Chi which I love tremendously and we have been able to do activities to support others like Camillus House and St. Jude’s Children Hospital. I wanted to do something special for our community and created a project called Thankful for You, which with the help of my wonderful classmates, was a huge success and we were able to feed 66 homeless and provide them with goodie bags that had basic needs items. I’m also a representative in our curriculum committee and proud to say we have made some important changes for our Larkin Community. Unfortunately, my journey has been cut short. As our college is not accredited yet, our loans are private. I was truly hoping to getting a 3rd parent loan but Sallie Mae (the only bank we can apply to) took them away. I have applied to different loan companies, with multiple cosigners, always denied. My heart is broken and I would truly like to graduate with my classmates next year. Any amount you can donate is a blessing and is truly appreciated it and absolutely all of it will go towards tuition. I cannot thank you enough before hand. No amount is too small.
