Hello, my name is Sahil Aggarwal. I’m a 23-year-old Child and Youth Care (CYC) worker, currently working as an Educational Assistant in a public school in Canada. My journey began in a rural village in India — a place rich in culture, resilience, and untold stories. It’s from that soil that my dream to uplift the next generation through education was born.
In 2019, I came to Canada as an international student just before the COVID-19 pandemic. The years that followed were filled with uncertainty, isolation, and immense financial strain. Despite these challenges, I stayed focused — pursuing my education, adapting to a new culture, and eventually earning a position supporting children with special needs.
Every step forward has required personal sacrifice, student and personal loans, and the unwavering support of my family. These experiences have taken a toll on my mental health, but they have also strengthened my resolve.
My dream is to pursue a doctorate in behavioural psychology and open a non-profit organization focused on supporting children, youth, and families — inspired by the Canadian community that embraced me. I want to give back by creating a safe, inclusive, and resourceful space, especially for underserved and immigrant families.
Your support will help me:
• Reduce my overwhelming debt
• Continue my education toward a doctoral degree
• Lay the foundation for a meaningful, community-based non-profit initiative
If you believe in the power of education, community, and second chances, I humbly ask for your support — whether through a donation or simply by sharing my story.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to know more about me or my vision.
With gratitude,
Sahil Aggarwal
