Hi, I’m Erin & I’m terrified of asking for help however this year has shown me that everyone needs help at some stage… even if we’d prefer to believe we can do it all alone.

Ive fallen on hard times & have no real life support system - as such, me & my fur baby Raymond have been homeless since the start of October. At the time, I had just put my notice into my main role because the stress I had been ignoring was physically making me sick. I called my second job to explain I was homeless with my dog and just needed a few days to figure out a plan and was met with - “I’m going to have to let you go”… With no family to turn too & no real ‘rainy day fund’… and now no job… i truly felt like giving up. But Raymond kept me going and still does.

We’ve been fortunate enough to be placed in temporary accommodation & I’m doing my best to change our circumstances. I’ve been working as a cleaner since the start of November but as everyone is feeling right now, a paycheck only stretches so far.

Our wonderful friends & community on TikTok (@RaymondtheBulldog) suggested we start a GoFundMe in hopes of generating a deposit & a bit of a safety net to get me & Raymond back into a secure and happy home. Anything raised will go directly towards creating a better future for us & any immediate costs for Raymond himself (food, insurance & vet costs)

Raymond is and always will be my number one priority. He didn’t choose me, I made a commitment to him the day I brought him home and I will keep that promise to him regardless of my circumstances. So whilst it’s difficult for me to share this, my love for Ray & my will for him to have the BEST life possible will always outweigh any shame I feel in admitting I need so support.

Thank you to everyone who has shown us kindness & support. The seemingly ‘small’ messages of support on a daily basis are what keep me going! I’m just so grateful for the love you pour into me and Raymond. We can’t wait for the day we can give back freely ❤️
