I am Malak Qwaider, a family of 9 people, a young man and 6 girls, including a 10-month-old baby girl. We built a new house, but it was damaged in this war. My brother was shot in the shoulder, and shattered part of his bone and pierced his shoulder. My mother was shot in the stomach ، I also got injured in my feet and back.in her foot, as a result of the war. We were displaced from our homes for a year and a half. We returned, feeling that there was hope and life again after all our dreams had deserted us. We began to repair what we could and spent a lot of money to repair the house, but we returned and were displaced due to evacuation orders. We left our homes, but with new high prices, we are trapped and starving. There is no shelter, no food, no flour, no milk, no stool, no water, and no money. When we withdraw our meager salary, half of it is spent on commission, and if it is available, it is available, but at astronomical prices We struggle even in the most basic aspects of life.
Obtaining basic necessities like salt, clean water, and food is a daily challenge. My younger siblings—Kenzi, 10 months old, Elia, 10 years old, and Sham, 12 years old—need the food and care that we struggle to provide We were in school, my sister and brother in university. I'm in my first year of high school and my sister is in her 2007 Tawjihi year. She was denied the opportunity to study and succeed. Now, instead of being in the school we belong to, we spend our days in long lines waiting for food at the soup kitchen or collecting drinking water. Our dreams have been shattered by a reality no child should have to face Here in Gaza, even the simplest things have become nearly impossible. Basic human rights are out of reachHere in Gaza, even the simplest things have become nearly impossible. Basic human rights are out of reach.
I share our story in the hope that my voice will be heard. Please help us face these hardships and give us a chance for a better future.
