This is such a hard time for everyone and there is so much need in so many places around the world right now that we hate to add to a list of asks. However, we have a situation. Our adult daughter, Shara, has had a medical setback that is going to require extended recovery. Lois and I are doing what we can to help her get through this, but it’s going to take a long time and we need your help.

 

Here’s how:

 

1) Ironically, following in the footsteps of her mother, Shara had a stroke. So the first thing we want you to do is watch this Public Service Announcement and familiarlize yourself with the signs of a stroke. And remember, TIME is most crucial. In the words of the EMT that took Shara to the hospital, ‘if you have any experience of weakness whatsoever on your left side- get to the hospital immediately!’

 

2) Second, we are hoping to raise $15,000 through this GoFundMe to basically cover her lost income for this period and to assist with recovery costs and living expenses.

 

3) And lastly, any thoughts and resources you might have on employment or employability during this difficult period would be greatly appreciated. Shara is a worker, has worked consistently since she was 16, and getting back to work, in whatever capacity she can, will be key to her recovery.
