A Special Getaway for Rod – A Memory to Treasure

As many of you know, my husband Rod is facing an incredibly tough journey with glioblastoma, a type of brain tumour that has slowly changed our everyday life. He’s been handling it with quiet strength and endless patience — still smiling, still trying to protect those around him from worry.

We don’t know how much time we have where Rod will feel well enough to enjoy the little things — a change of scenery, fresh air, a quiet moment by the sea or in nature. That’s why I’d love to take him on a short holiday while he’s still feeling up to it — something peaceful and meaningful, just for the two of us (or a few close family) to breathe, reflect, and make a memory.

It’s not a grand trip — we’re thinking of a cozy cottage by the coast, or a quiet countryside break. Just a bit of comfort, calm, and closeness.
