At Trillium House, we believe every person deserves comfort, dignity, compassion, and meaningful connection throughout the hospice journey. We are more than a care facility — we are a home-like environment where individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult moments can find support, guidance, peace, and community.
Every day, Trillium House provides hospice support and respite care with warmth and respect. Just as importantly, we create spaces where families can gather, ask questions, share memories, grieve together, and simply spend meaningful time with the people they love.
Creating this space takes an investment in training, team coordination, leadership oversight and development, and meaningful engagement with residents, families, volunteers, health care partners, and the greater community. Today, we are working to transform our current meeting space into a multi-functional Enrichment Room designed to strengthen care, support learning, and deepen human connection.
Trillium House has secured an anonymous donor match up to $5,000, which decreases the amount we need to raise to just $5,000 with your support. With just 100 donations of $50, we can reach our goal for this project. Whatever you can give will help us create a more versatile, welcoming, functional space.
Our current space provides limited flexibility to meet our current needs. With updated tables and reconfigurable seating, the room can adapt for individualized training, paired learning, team meetings, family gatherings, and community collaboration. Improved audiovisual technology will allow Trillium House to expand access to expert-led online training and connect families and partners who cannot be physically present.
For many families, some of the most important conversations of their lives happen within these walls. A spouse hearing what to expect in the coming days. Adult children joining by video from across the country to support a parent. A caregiver learning new skills that improve comfort, dignity, and quality of life for a resident. A volunteer discovering how to provide reassurance during moments of fear and uncertainty. Leadership and teams working to ensure quality care is there when we need it.
These moments matter.
Today, our current meeting space needs important updates to ensure these moments. With your support, the Enrichment Room will become a flexible, accessible gathering space that supports both intimate family conversations and larger educational opportunities for up to 20 participants. This includes:
- High-quality caregiver training and hands-on learning
- Collaboration among staff, volunteers, and community partners
- Family meetings filled with compassion, guidance, and support
- Reliable virtual connection for loved ones who may be hundreds of miles away
- Access to affordable online education and professional development opportunities.
This room is more than a meeting space. It is a place where people come together to care, learn, grieve, support one another, and ensure every resident receives compassionate, high-quality care.
Your gift helps make those moments possible.
Multiple training configurations allow for: team/group learning, smaller break-out sessions, secure testing/evaluation of learned materials, while adding extended outreach through technology and connectivity. Stackable storage and wheeled tables and chairs offer exceptionally flexible layout options for smaller, more intimate gatherings such as family consultations. The room can be adjusted to meet differing needs in a quick, efficient manner.
Most importantly, this support helps ensure that Trillium House continues to provide excellence in care — not only for residents, but for the families, caregivers, volunteers, and community members who walk beside them on the hospice journey.
Together, we can create a space that strengthens care, supports families, empowers caregivers, and reminds every person who enters Trillium House that they are not alone.
