A Soulmate Lost, A Family Shattered- Support for Caylee-jo

Most people only have to face their worst nightmare in their sleep. My sister, Caylee-jo, had to fight hers on their bedroom floor, breathing for the man she loved while praying for a miracle that didn’t come.

The Moment Everything Broke:
A normal day turned into a nightmare that no one should ever have to wake up from. Without warning, Rob—the heartbeat of their family had unexpectedly collapsed on their bedroom floor. My sister, Caylee-jo, spent several agonizing minutes with everything in her soul to breathe life back into the man she loved while waiting for the paramedics to reach their home. She did everything humanly possible to resuscitate him, fighting for every second. Despite her bravery and the tireless efforts and that of the medical team, God had other plans. Rob fought for several days in the hospital against a devastating stroke and rapid brain swelling, but the damage was too great. In an instant, on March 25th 2026 the man who was her "everything" was gone.

His Impact:
Rob and Caylee-jo shared nearly 6 beautiful years together. While the time was far too short, the depth of his love was infinite. He wasn't just her fiancé and her soulmate; he was a pillar of strength and a transformative presence for her and her children. He impacted their lives in ways I have never seen before, loving them fiercely. In the time they had one another, he did the impossible. He didn't just love my sister; he stepped into the lives of her children and transformed their world. Rob wasn't just a partner; he was a son, a brother and a loyal friend but most importantly, he was the steady hand that held my sister's world together. Rob was her children's daily hero, loving them fiercely and showing up for them in every way a father figure can. To his grandchildren, he was "Pop"—the man who represented safety, joy, and unconditional love. The impact he left on everyone is a beautiful testament of who he was. He was the father figure they deserved and the partner she had spent many years praying for.

The Need:
We are reaching out for help because my sister is now facing a "perfect storm" of hardship. While she navigates this deep grief and immeasurable trauma, she is also battling CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome). This chronic, debilitating nerve condition causes her constant, severe pain and because of this condition, she cannot work. Rob wasn't just her soulmate; he was her hands and feet. He was the one who carried the weight when her body failed her. He was her primary caregiver and their family’s sole provider. Now, she is left in a body that is in constant physical agony, grieving a loss that has shattered her heart, with the weight of an entire household and her children's futures resting solely on her shoulders.

How You Can Help:
We are kindly asking for your help to be the support system that Rob can no longer be.

Your donations will go toward:

  • The final, dignified goodbye that Rob deserves.

  • ICU & Medical Debt: Covering the staggering costs of his final days of life-saving attempts.

  • Daily Stability: Providing help with groceries or utilities, for her and her children while she navigates the long road of trauma, therapy and her disability.

Your Kindness Is A Lifeline:
We can't bring Rob back, but together we can make sure the roof stays over their heads and the help that Caylee-jo and her children so desperately need stays within reach. Your kindness is the only safety net they have left.

Please donate, please share, and please help us honor a man who gave his whole heart to this family until his very last breath.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Whether you give $5 or simply share this story, you are helping my sister breathe a little easier today. We are forever grateful for the love you are wrapping around Caylee-jo, the kids, and Rob’s memory during their darkest hour.
