Hello, my name is Frank Meynard Alejo. I am the youngest of five children of Imelda Alejo. Like any son, all I want is to see my mother well, to hold her hand, and to hear her laugh again.
On June 9, 2025, our lives changed forever when my mother suffered a severe STROKE (Cerebrovascular Accident, Left Middle Cerebral Artery Infarct with Hemorrhagic Conversion) — in simple words, a large blood clot blocked the blood flow to the left side of her brain and caused part of it to swell and bleed.
To save her life, she had to undergo an emergency Left Decompressive Hemicraniectomy — a critical operation where the doctors removed a part of her skull to relieve the swelling in her brain and prevent further damage.
Until now, my mother is still in Metro Vigan Hospital, fighting for her life every day. She cannot come home yet because she still needs constant medical care, machines to help her body, and close monitoring from her doctors. Each day in the hospital means new tests, strong medications, and therapies to help her survive and heal.
I am the breadwinner of our family, but no matter how hard I work, I cannot do this alone. The cost of her surgery, hospital stay, and continuing treatment is more than what we can ever afford — but giving up is not an option. I am ready to do anything for my mother, but now I am humbly asking for your help.
If you are reading this, please know that any amount, no matter how small, will be a huge help to keep my mother’s treatment going. Your kindness will help cover her hospital expenses, medicines, therapy sessions, and the care she needs to have a chance to recover.
I believe that with your prayers, your support, and your good heart, my mother can win this fight — and one day come home to us again, to hold her grandchildren and to smile with us once more.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading this. Please help me give my mother another chance at life.
Thank you.
Meynard M.
