Hi everyone,

My name is Kevin Samson, and I am writing to you from my mother’s hospital room in the Philippines. As many of you in Toronto know, I recently made the urgent decision to fly back home to be the primary caregiver for my mother, Evelyn Donor Samson, who is fighting Stage 4 cervical cancer.

Mom has been admitted at Makati Medical Center since last week Tuesday. While she is out of the ER, being admitted for over a week has meant that our running bills are rising rapidly every single day. In the medical system here, life-saving treatments, medications, and daily hospital fees must be managed constantly, and the financial weight is becoming more than we can carry alone.

I am currently unable to work while providing 24/7 care for her, so I am turning to our community for help. Your generosity will go directly toward:

Laboratory tests, scans, and monitoring.

Life-sustaining medications and chemotherapy treatments.
