Walking Toward a Better Future: Prosthesis
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kalpana Shere-Wolfe, and I am writing on behalf of an unfortunate young man in India who tragically lost both of his legs in an accident. I first heard of his challenges during a recent visit to the Sri Narayani Temple. He was a passenger on a motorcycle that was hit by an oversized truck. He sustained injuries to both legs requiring bilateral amputations and was hospitalized for approximately 3 months. Prior to that, he was a serious student with plans to go to college. His father is deceased, and he is the main support for his mother. He came to Amma as a last resort, hoping for a miracle.
We are trying to raise funds so that he can obtain functional prostheses for both legs, go to college, and have a career.
Please consider a donation to help him so that he can fulfill his potential in this life and also care for his mother. None of us passes through life without eventually encountering the "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" or a "sea of troubles." The only thing that gets us through those times is the love and kindness of other living beings. Please show your love for this young man and give whatever you can to help him fulfill his potential in this life and his obligations to his aging mother.
My hope is, together we can change this young man's life forever. Thanks for taking the time to read this story and for your generosity.
