Update! Update! Update!

There have been some changes in the process for Rene to get his transplant. Thankfully, he will not have to go and stay a full month in Ft. Worth. The transplant will take place in San Antonio. He will have to stay only a week there and then come back home to Odessa and be monitored by his kidney doctor here. HOWEVER, there has been a delay because of some requirements that have to be met. With this delay, now Rene will have to begin dialysis. So some good news and some delays but we will not be deterred in his healing and his testimony that is coming! Both Rene and Steven are hopeful this will come sooner rather than later and we (their family and friends) are standing by them. We are thankful for all those who have already donated and are continuing to pray for both of their healing and recovery. They are 2 strong men who have faith God is walking with them EVERY step of the way! Please share this and get this out to as many as you can. These expenses are going to jump up quick. God Bless you all!

Hi everyone! My name is Annette and the 2 men I have uploaded on here are very near and dear to my heart and countless others who know them. Rene is in need of a new kidney and by the grace of God our Father, he has been blessed with a donor. His son Steven, thankfully is a perfect match and that in and of itself is a miracle of God! Here in the very near future he will be undergoing a kidney transplant.

So a little bit about Rene and this entire journey down road he has been stumbling down. I have known Rene for a little over 4 years through work. He began having trouble with his health 3 years ago and the doctors have just been baffled by him. Which is understandable because he baffles a lot of us with his ways! LOL I am just kidding. A little over a year ago, the oddest things began to happen to him. You see, back in June of last year Rene gave his life to Christ and he was baptized. This is where things started to get interesting. His health issues kind of went sideways. He felt fine, but his test results were going all over the place. They were good. They were bad. They were up and they were down. Rene, had began learning and believing that God could and would heal him. He was given such a run around by the doctors because they didn't understand why he wasn't sick but his test results continued to tell a different story. They told him they had never seen anyone be on the rollercoaster ride of test result like he had been on. He finally had enough of one of his doctors and told them enough was enough. "I am healed by my Lord Jesus Christ!" And to their surprise and all of ours, the numbers on his tests began to go up. It was amazing!! Rene still feels fine and is not sick. However, the numbers are still no where close to where they need to be and he has to have this kidney transplant. He knows that because of who God is and what Jesus did for him on that cross he is healed and whole.

We all know that with this transplant Rene is going to thrive and he is going to be an amazing testimony to others who have to have a transplant of any kind. So, with all that being said, he needs help with expenses. He will have to go to the a hospital in Ft. Worth for the transplant, rent a place to stay for a month total, do follow ups with the kidney doctor several time a week to make sure the kidney is functioning properly and all the while continue paying his expenses at home while he is gone. (rent and bills)

His son, Steven will have to be with him for 2 weeks after the transplant for follow up doctors appointments as well. He is going to be needing help to. I don't know Steven as well but I know that this has done a number on his heart knowing that his dad has had such a struggle. He is giving his dad a renewed chance at life! What an amazing young man! Steven, God is using you in such a special way and He has so much more in store for you!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please help Rene and Steven move forward into this new season! God bless you!
