Some of our students have lost their Father during this time of isolation.    It was sudden and unexpected.   They are left not only grieving but the family was not prepared for the expense of the costs of a funeral.   They did not ask for help,  we are offering it.   They have not been able to have a funeral to an extreme financial hardship.   The healing cannot truly start until there is some closure with a funeral.  We would not be asking if this was not something that was truly needed.   We do love our students and times will get better.   The Funeral Home Meadowrest Memorial Funeral Services has already worked with us and offered a very big discount due to the circumstances but also because they realized the love that we have shown as educators and parents to help a family during such a loss.   
I know we are all hurting- emotionally and financially during this time but we are asking to help a Father be buried so his children can have a place to visit and remember him.   They have had to face the harsh reality they cannot say goodbye to their Father as there will be no service.   Since it was sudden they didn't have a chance to say goodbye.  The family was hesitant to allow us to do this especially as we are all prideful and many of us won't ask for help.   But we told them we are doing this to make sure they have closure, can start healing and have a final resting place to visit their Father.
