A Small Business Owner and Friend Needs Our Help

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. The owners are our neighbors and friends. We are Chris and Alan. We're funding raising for The Eastside Cafe.

One of our friends, Kate Micheletto, who owns Eastside Café, has had her business for 4.5 years; her café has provided a cozy place for friends to meet, enjoy a tasty treat, and share friendly conversations. She has sponsored many fun and creative events we've all enjoyed and created her unique charm and warmth in East Dundee. Kate lends a hand whenever and wherever possible to local charities or organizations, asking for donations or help.

Now's the time for her loyal customers and neighbors to lend a hand to Kate. The Covid year and a half hit Kate's business hard. And as with any company, Kate has had to replace costly and essential equipment to continue a successful business. These expenses have taken a toll on Eastside Café's bottom line. The hardship of Covid made it necessary for Kate to assume debt to keep the Eastside Cafe open. Repayment will be due soon.

We're setting up this GoFundMe account as customers, friends, and neighbors because we value Kate as a local business owner and all that Eastside Café brings to our community. We are asking if you can help the Eastside continue to thrive and contribute to the culture of our communities.
