Hi, my name is Rasha, and I’m writing this on behalf of my incredible younger sister, Randa, who has been bravely battling breast cancer.
Earlier last year, our world turned upside down when Randa was diagnosed with breast cancer. Watching someone you love face something so terrifying is impossible to put into words. There have been days when the pain and exhaustion felt unbearable — yet, with courage in her heart, an unbreakable will, and that unmistakable spark of her quirky spirit, she continues to fight every single day.
Randa was given the opportunity to receive a rare and highly specialised targeted treatment called Perjeta — one that offers real hope but comes with a heartbreaking reality: it’s not covered by Medicare, and the cost is significant. Patients must either pay out of pocket or rely on the limited funds that cancer clinics raise through donations.
With the support of family, friends, the generosity of the Breast Clinic Institute, and her own determination, Randa went ahead with the treatment. We’re endlessly thankful to everyone involved, as it has significantly increased her chances of survival. Though the treatment took a big toll on her body, it gave her more time, more strength, and more precious moments with her husband and two young daughters.
Now, with renewed hope, Randa wants others to have the same chance she was given. She’s determined to get back on her feet, pay it forward, and raise awareness for those who might not have access to lifesaving care.
We’re reaching out to ask for your help — to ease the financial burden of her treatment and support her ongoing recovery and follow-up care. Randa has already endured so much physically and emotionally. Our goal is to take away at least one source of stress — the financial one — so she can focus fully on healing.
Please consider helping us support her recovery, whether through donating, sharing her story, or keeping Randa in your prayers. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to continued healing and hope.
To everyone who has already reached out with love and support — thank you. We’ve truly felt the power of prayer and community lift her up through some of the hardest days.
If you can, please help us give Randa the fighting chance she deserves — and help her continue spreading hope to others facing this same battle.
With love and endless gratitude,
Rasha
