Hi everyone,

My sister Misty has spent her life caring for others as a nurse, and now she’s facing the fight of her life and needs our help.

She is one of the most compassionate, warm hearted, and selfless people I know. As a traveling nurse, she has dedicated her life to helping others, always putting everyone else first. Now, for the first time in her own life, she needs to focus on herself and her health. That unfortunately means putting her beloved career on hold so she can fight this disease with everything she has, surrounded by the love and support of family and close friends.

Misty was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, which has unfortunately spread to her clavicle. She is facing a long and grueling journey ahead. She has already started hormone therapy, and this week she is scheduled for her first mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy and radiation, with a second surgery planned after her treatments are complete.

Even before treatment began, she has been traveling extensively for doctor’s appointments, medications, and what feels like endless tests. The physical, emotional, and financial toll is overwhelming.

Beyond medical expenses, everyday living costs continue to pile up. Misty, who loves animals and always puts others before herself, is now in a position where she has to lean on the support of others, and that’s where I hope we can rally together and show her support.

This fundraiser is my way of giving back to my sister so she can focus on healing without the added stress and worry that we hope to never see our loved ones face.

This past year has been incredibly tough, and just when things were starting to look up, she received this devastating news. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover treatments, travel, medications, and daily expenses and give her the space to focus entirely on her recovery.
