Help a Single Mum Get Back on Her Feet

A close friend encouraged me to share my story here, and after much consideration, I’ve found the courage to reach out for support.
I’m a single mother to an amazing little boy who turns 4 next month. I’ve been raising him on my own since birth, after leaving an abusive relationship in 2021. While being his mum has been the greatest joy of my life, these past few years have brought significant challenges that have tested my strength in ways I never imagined.
Last year, I accumulated debt while navigating the difficulties of single parenthood and other challenges. I’ve worked hard to pay down a substantial portion, but with rising living costs and limited work opportunities until my son starts school in September, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to stay ahead.
The looming interest charges are causing sleepless nights and mounting anxiety. Despite working part-time and going without many necessities for months, I’m worried about falling further behind. I know I’m not alone in facing financial struggles - so many families are dealing with similar pressures right now.
Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me, but I’ve reached a point where I need to put aside my pride for my son’s sake. My goal is to clear this debt completely so we can move forward with a fresh start. More than that, I want to regain my peace of mind and be able to focus on creating positive experiences and memories with my little boy, something that’s been difficult this past year.
