I’m a single mom with 3 kids that I’m raising 100% on my own. After my last surviving parent passed from cancer, my ex filed claims in court attempting to take our child away from me. After multiple years of litigation, i willingly gave him (more than) what he was asking for. He lasted 10 days, filed an emergency filing and demanded we go back to the same order we had the entire time- he gave up having his primary custody. I was ordered to pay my own fees even though the court motions seemed to be a waste of everyone’s time. I spent over 50k already on legal fees, with a remaining balance of 30k. I’ve attempted to move forward by putting myself through college and even helping others facing the corruption in family court- all while I raise my kids fully on my own. Helping me pay off these legal fees will help reduce my stress, be able to focus on helping others and raising my kids without the fear of being unhoused again.
