A Silver Lining for Lindsey

“Keep on keeping on” - My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit

One of Lindsey’s sayings is “keep on keeping on” from her favorite song, My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit. She is working really hard to do this right now, as she battles metastatic stage 4 (HR+ HER 2-) breast cancer.

Lindsey has made an impact on everyone she’s met. She is the youngest of five sisters, is a beautiful 41-year-old mother of two girls, Zoey and Gwen, and is a fantastic wife to her husband and best friend, Michael. She’s a friend to everyone and is considered a second mom by all her nieces, nephews, and daughter's friends. She genuinely sees the best in others and always focuses on the positive in humanity. She’s the kind of person you can go to with any problem, and she’ll be there to help and never judge. She will give you the shirt off her back, she will give you a listening ear, and she will always give you a safe place to land. When she doesn’t have the words to offer, she will send you a song that will resonate with your situation or a GIF to make you literally laugh out loud. Regardless of what she could be going through, Lindsey will find a way to brighten the day and bring others up.

This is not Lindsey’s first fight with cancer. In June 2018, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent various treatments, surgeries, and chemotherapy. She came out victorious and was cancer free for four years, but cancer is ruthless and aggressive, and this past September, we found out the breast cancer had metastasized into metastatic stage 4 (HR+ HER 2-) breast cancer. While there is no cure yet, she is willing to try every avenue possible to ensure she has a quality life and is able to be there for her children, husband, and her entire family and friends. We hope that by starting this gofundme page, we can help Lindsey live the best and longest life possible.
