A Sick Rig For A Sick Gamer: Geoff's New Computer

Dear friends, family, supporters and everyone in general:
For some time I have wanted to take my computer gaming habit into the world of streaming on Twitch (or the like). My aging computer finally broke down in the autumn of 2018, providing a precious opportunity to finally upgrade my computer to something capable of streaming good games online. While a few of the components are within my means, I really need financial assistance to complete the rig... something powerful, solid, and moddable that can stand the test of time.
Arthritis pain has greatly curtailed my physical capacities--with this disability it is almost impossible to work, especially the typical 9-5. Now it's nigh impossible to get outside, explore things, and be seen just like anyone else, a rough fate for an extrovert. Streaming would be a perfect recourse, combining a love for gaming, community, renewed purpose and hopefully, in time, some revenue! I hope to hustle up a supplemental income, something to do and a way to interact with the world and offer something entertaining and less challenging than the essays on my Medium blog. A bit of banter, strategy, and wisdom all mashed together may be the distinct voice I wish to put out there into the internet.
While many streamers focus on action games, that is not my focus - I focus on open world sandboxes & strategy games, like the Total War series. Being a different sort of streamer is my goal, making a safe place to talk about anything. Meditation - philosophy - life - the tactics of Sun Tzu - and living joyfully with disability.
We have a few components already, including the case, graphics card and motherboard, but we still need capital to supply the remaining parts. For a good computer that will last years I am aiming at $1,000, which will likely mainly go to the CPU itself and memory card.
