Hi, my name is Kyle. I'll be filming my next short film, BEING CONTENT, in March. I've already secured some funding, but with inflation and other factors I've concluded that it'll be a bit tight to finish principle photography. So I'm asking for some help to allow some breathing room.

This is the next step for me as a filmmaker. I was able to finish three short films in 2024 but each one only had one shooting day. This project is more ambitious, filming over three days at two different locations, using professional actors, and a bit of a larger crew.

With BEING CONTENT I was enthusiastic about doing a mashup of two very different genres. The romantic comedy and the thriller. This is about a first date that goes very wrong. I’m also interested in how people present themselves online and in person, especially those who would label themselves as influencers. Once you lose yourself to the online fantasy, it can seep into your “real” personality. This is the core of the film. Two people who share a connection but an inability to be their true selves. In the end, their humanity gets stripped away. While there are some humorous bits throughout, this is a film that crescendos from being light to quite dark.
