For 34 years, Lieutenant Ron Pineda has been the unwavering shield of our Gary Police Department, dedicating his life to our safety and currently as our midnight patrol Lieutenant. On April 8th, 2025, this dedicated hero underwent a life-altering leg amputation due to a devastating infection. A husband and father, Ron has always answered our call; now, he needs ours.
