A Service Dog for Matthew

Story

My sweet friends Becky and Court Crane are incredible, loving, dedicated  parents. They have 2 precious children. Their  sweet daughter Lauren, 18,  was diagnosed  with Type 1 diabetes a few years ago. Their son Matthew is 16. He was diagnosed with Autism when he was just 2 and a half years old. The extent of Matthew's Autism is considered moderate to severe. This sweet, precious young man is completely non-verbal.  Can you imagine how difficult it would be as parents to help thier son? Can you imagne living life as Matthew does? Or his family? Due to the autism, Matthew experiences multiple issues that a service dog could help greatly with. Things like anxiety, a sensory processing disorder, not having a concept of what is safe, or dangerous. Matthew gets very overwhelmed when he is outside of his home, or very familiar places, yet he LOVES to be out and about in his community. The service dog would give Matthew more freedom to enjoy life with his family outside of their home , or those familiar places with his family. Noises, echos, new situations, people, are all challenges for this young man that a service dog would help greatly with! It is difficult for Matthew to "connect" with people.  Therefore, friendships are  non-existent for this kiddo.  Yet, this sweet boy still longs for social connections and wants to be part of the world. Matthew also has difficulty sleeping. These are all things that a service dog will, or will have the potential to help Matthew with! A service dog would open up the world for Matthew!  The cost of these incredible dogs is high. But, they are well worth it. What a difference would be made in the lives of not just Matthew, but his entire family.  Will you please help me bless Matthew and his family?
