a Service Dog for Marrisa!

Hi all, my name is Finley Kate, and I am creating this fundraiser alongside my friends Sarah and Rebekah for our friend Marrisa. Marrisa is an incredible human. She is a live-in nanny in the New York City/New Jersey area. However, the past few years, she has dealt with many complex health issues, including epilepsy, stage-four endometriosis, a total hysterectomy, nerve damage, and joint issues. Living with medical issues can cause complex trauma, in addition to the damage to the body from health issues. As her health has declined, most of her pocket cash goes to hospital bills and other medical bills. In addition, she is unable to work as much as she used to, due to her health issues. This has made it hard to save. After many discussions, Marrisa has decided to pursue getting a multi-purpose service dog. Her future service dog will be able to do tasks such as brace to help her to stand, fetch her cane, and give deep pressure therapy. Marrisa is using Karla Faucett at KarlaLuvsLabs, one of the breeders that I got my service dog from. Karla's dogs are health-checked, well-bred, and taken care of, and often go on to be hunting and service dogs. She is also using Gary at Trained Retrievers/Service Dogs CA. These puppies can run about 2k and the training can run about 8k, for a total of about 10k. This is actually a really good price for such an incredible dog and piece of medical equipment (which service dogs are legally classified as)! A service dog will help Marrisa with the physical tasks to make her day-to-day life easier and quality of life better!
