Help a mother walk without pain again.

Hello to anyone and everyone who is taking the time to read this bio. Please allow me to introduce myself; my name is Tyler Strickland, and I am the oldest son of Kimberley McQueen. I am writing the introduction for this GoFundMe account as my mother, whom you will start to understand over the course of this introduction, is not the kind of person who can easily find the words to ask for help from loved ones, let alone complete strangers.
I would like to give you a brief backstory on a woman who is the definition of "selfless." I realize that I may have a biased opinion as she is my mother, but that also affords me a unique opportunity to share the unfiltered version of who this woman is and why I am asking for help on her behalf.
My mother has spent her life serving the people of Arizona in not only the personal injury field but also in social security and disability law. Kimberley is a woman who has always practiced her belief that integrity and compassion for her fellow man/woman is its own reward. For decades, she has never wavered from her word or her personal code of honor. She is a woman that took in every wayward, smart-mouthed friend with a rough home life I would bring home while I was in school to make sure we had a stable foundation and never let us get in our own ways. This is a woman who worked 80 hours a week and still always found the time to be there for her kids, blood and bond alike.
I have watched her consistently go beyond what anyone, even those with a strong moral compass, would because doing the right thing was more important. That includes going to a car dealership 6 times because they messed the paperwork up and sold her a car but never took the money, despite the arrogant manager telling her she is wrong and they would never overlook such a huge issue. This is the moral character of Kimberley McQueen, a woman who would bleed to protect "all" her children, a woman who would always go without so that others could have a bit more. I owe most everything I am as a man to her values. To this day, she is a mother figure to so many people, and I am humbled to be her son.
In May of 2025, she suffered a severe knee injury causing multiple complete tears and several partial tears that will require surgery to fix. This injury will also leave her unable to work for a few months while in recovery, so against her personal standing, she has agreed to start a GoFundMe in hopes that some of that good karma she has built over the years can come back full circle. Please do not misunderstand me, but when I state that very few people have so selflessly given to not only family and friends but also complete strangers, it is not hyperbole. She has spent her life going above and beyond for others, and it is now with a heavy heart and much apprehension that we are asking for others to assist with that same willingness to help a stranger, a stranger who deserves the aid. I could write a novel with stories of the type of woman my mother is and what she has done for everyone who has ever needed help. I learned at a young age from her that in this world, nobody can do it alone, and if you can help, it's your duty to help. She has always tried to never burden others and would do without, but this is a situation where she cannot do without. So, it is with a humble and hopeful spirit that I ask the kind people who read this to help a woman who has never asked for help but always broke her back to help those around her return to a better quality of life. Watching my mother struggle to walk has broken me on a level I wasn't ready for, and I feel my biggest failure in life was not having the money to solve this problem for her all at once. So please, to anyone who reads this "long-winded" info page, help a woman who deserves more than she ever got and never complained with what she had. Our gratitude knows no bounds.
Any donation would mean the world to our family and will never not be appreciated. To those who cannot help financially, please share this as the more people that can see it, the better the odds. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I am forever in your debt...
