I’m reaching out to ask for help for someone who would never ask for it herself—my mentor and a truly amazing woman, LeeAnn Tapscott. LeeAnn is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in Missouri, and she has dedicated her entire life to saving injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife. She’s not just a wildlife hero; she’s one of the kindest, most selfless people I know. She never turns an animal away, no matter how full her hands are or how late it is. She has spent countless sleepless nights, long drives to rescue, and taken on the financial burden, whatever the cost, to save every animal in need.

Unlike larger centers that have large funding and can pause intake when they’re full, LeeAnn is always there…24/7. She’s the one person who never says no to an animal in need. And she shoulders almost all of the financial burden herself, out of sheer love and commitment to these animals.

I’ve created this GoFundMe because LeeAnn would never ask for help herself, but I know she truly deserves it. She’s given so much to our community’s wildlife, and now it’s our turn to give back to her. Every donation will go directly to helping her cover the costs of medical supplies, food, and shelter for the animals she rescues.
