My sweet 8-year-old daughter has faced more challenges in her young life than most could imagine. She was born with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, oral dysphagia, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), and a seizure disorder caused by a lack of oxygen during labor and delivery. She was later diagnosed with autism as well.

Recently, her condition has become even more frightening - she now experiences sudden drop seizures multiple times a day with no warning, collapsing wherever she stands. These are unpredictable episodes where she loses all muscle tone, collapses like dead weight, and cannot catch herself. These seizures often result in her hitting her head or other parts of her body on hard surfaces, putting her at constant risk for serious injury.

We are desperately trying to raise funds for a trained service dog who could alert us before a seizure happens or help break her fall, protecting her from harm. This could truly be life-saving for her and give her more independence, safety, and peace of mind.

Any funds received will go directly toward:

• The cost of the seizure alert dog and specialized training

• Creating additional space needed for a larger service dog

• Safety devices and equipment to help cushion falls, such as padded mats, table corner protectors, and other protective gear for our home.
