My name is Whitney, and I write this with a weight I can hardly put into words. Just three short months ago, my sweet sister Rianne faced the unthinkable. The sudden loss of her beloved husband, Koay. Together, we grieved as she tried to find her footing in a world forever changed.

Now, before her heart has even begun to heal, tragedy has struck again. Rianne’s precious firstborn son, Brightn, has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Losing a child is a pain no parent should ever know and to lose both a husband and a son in such a short time is beyond comprehension.

Rianne is now carrying not only the unbearable weight of her grief, but also the heavy financial strain that comes with these profound losses. Since Koay’s passing, she has been doing everything she can to hold her family together, and now she desperately needs space and time to mourn without the added worry of financial survival.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help lift some of that burden. Every donation will go directly toward Brightn’s funeral and memorial costs, and will help Rianne and her children stay afloat as they begin the long, painful journey toward healing.
