A second chance rescue for Nala & Teddy

I came to stay with Eduardo and Chris for what was meant to be a happy visit and a chance to travel together. Instead, on my second day here with my mam, we regretably stayed back in the house, Nala and Teddy were violently attacked by two large dogs that had escaped from men hunting nearby.
Eduardo hysterically called me, we ran to help pick them up. Something I never thought I would see in my life, 2 of the happiest lil dogs completely lifeless. From that moment on, nothing has been the same.
I have been there for every vet visit. I watched two people who had only rescued these dogs eight months ago fight with everything they had to save them. I saw them drain their savings, take out loans, make impossible phone calls to vets and charities, and eventually face a choice no one should ever have to make:
to euthanise Nala or find at least €10,000 more to admit her to ICU, with no guarantees she would survive.
They had already paid €7,500 toward her care, exhausting everything they had. There was nothing left to give.
Nala survived the initial trauma but has needed a splenectomy, hernia removal, treatment for severe intestinal and rectal damage, and ongoing care for multiple wounds, with the constant risk of infection and sepsis. Teddy had damage to his rips and deep superficial wounds but is recovering, but both dogs will need continued veterinary care in the weeks and months ahead.
Since the attack, Eduardo and Chris have been housebound, caring for the dogs around the clock instead of travelling as planned. Throughout this time, neighbours, colleagues, and friends have repeatedly asked how they can help: not for Eduardo and Chris , but for Nala and Teddy .
They are too proud to ask.
Before I leave to go home this evening, I want to do something for the two small rescue dogs who had already been abandoned once, finally found their forever home, and then suffered unimaginable violence.
This fundraiser is for Nala and Teddy to help cover ongoing veterinary care and give them the best possible chance to heal.
Any support, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated.
