My name is Joanna. I am 32 and am going to school to get my bachelor's in addiction studies. I am a single mom of a 5-year-old autistic child and work a part-time job. I have exhausted all of my financial aid and loans and am needing a little help with tuition. I come from a family of addicts and was once an addict myself. I have 2 older children that I had in the middle of my addiction, and they were adopted by the most wonderful families a mother could ask for. I have been clean and sober a little over 6 years and am pursuing my degree so that I can help others come out of addiction and help put families back together. I want to be able to sit across from someone and tell them, "I have been where you are and there is hope." I am almost done with school and just need a little help to complete my degree.
