Meet Xena & Gizmo, two 10-month-old French Bulldogs whose journey has been anything but easy.

These 2 sweet souls were rescued from a heartbreaking situation. After their original owner was tragically diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer & passed away, Xena & Gizmo were left in a home where they suffered from neglect & malnutrition. Despite the difficult circumstances they faced, these babies remained loving and full of hope.

The initial plan was to provide them with veterinary care, spay & neuter them, & then find them a furever home together. However, shortly after arriving, Xena became severely ill with a dangerously high fever of 105°F & developed viral & neurological symptoms. She was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she was placed on IV fluids & antibiotics to stabilize her condition.

Despite numerous tests & diagnostics, the cause of Xena’s illness remains unclear. We are still working to determine a definitive diagnosis, & she may need further evaluation by a specialist. While Xena is beginning to respond to the treatment, we know that her recovery will take time, & we remain hopeful for her full recovery.

With almost 11 years of experience in the veterinary field, I have dedicated my life to rescuing & saving animals in need. Everyone who knows me understands that I pour my heart, soul, & personal resources into doing whatever it takes to give these animals a second chance at life. As I continue to fight for Xena and Gizmo, I want to be fully transparent: I have received a 10% discount on the medical bills, but the costs remain substantial. Despite this, I will not stop fighting for them.
