Hello everyone. My name is Kayla.

On Saturday September 20th, I found a stray dog who walked right into my life like he was meant to. From the first moment, he followed me everywhere, crying if I left, curling up against me like he’d finally found a safe place. That night, he laid his head on my leg and I knew he had already chosen me.

Shadow has been through so much, but what breaks my heart most is what the vet discovered: two of his toes have no bones left. They’re just fragile, empty shells that could tear or get infected at any moment. It appears to be blunt force trauma that caused this injury. To save him from future pain, those toes will need to be amputated.

This surgery will be costly, and I could really use some help giving him the care he deserves. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to both of us. Every little bit helps, and together we can give him the safe, healthy future he’s been waiting for.
