My partner and I recently rescued a golden retriever from an absolutely heartbreaking situation. This sweet baby was found chained to a car at a house, completely alone. The collar had been tightened so much it dug into their neck, and they have visible injuries around their ears and head. It’s clear they’ve been through more than any animal ever should.

We didn’t plan for this rescue. In all honesty, we weren’t in a position to take on another animal — our home is already full of love, with 7 rescued/adopted animals, and we’ve recently opened our doors to foster two family members as well. Our finances are stretched thin. But when we saw this dog, leaving them behind simply wasn’t an option.

Right now, we’re doing everything we can to get this baby safe, fed, and into proper medical care, but the costs are adding up quickly — vet bills, treatment for their injuries, proper food, and a safe shelter so they can finally rest and heal.
