My name is Ebonee. I am a hardworking mom of two. Eleven years ago I made a mistake and had to plead guilty to a nonviolent felony. I worked hard to complete my sentence and thought I had paid all my remaining fees which would allow me to have my felony expunged and my voting rights restored. Unfortunately, after some back and forth with the collection agency they sent me to, the clerks office has confirmed that I have outstanding fees in the amount of $1600 I have to pay. This felony has prevented me from getting several better-paying jobs I need to support my kids and move forward with my life. Of course, I would also like my rights to vote restored before the next election. Anything you can contribute to help me pay this last debt and start my expungement process is greatly appreciated.
