A few months ago, this cheeky little chappie wandered into my life completely uninvited. I didn’t plan on having ANOTHER cat but clearly, he had other ideas! Fast forward a bit, and he’s somehow become part of the furniture (and mine and my kids’ hearts).
On Saturday 18 October, he came into me in the early hours dragging his back leg and wailing in pain. After a trip to the vet (and a mild heart attack on my part), I found out he’s fractured his hip near the joint. The surgery he needs is called an FHO. This is basically where they remove the ball part of the hip so his body can create a “false joint.” The good news: young cats often adapt brilliantly. The bad news: I need to find the money to actually do it
The cost is around €350, and I know that for some people, that’s not a massive amount. But honestly, this side of Christmas with four kids, I’m pinching every penny. I’ve swallowed my pride (hard) and set this up because I’d rather do that than let this little lad lose his leg or worse. I’m mortified, but here we are
If you can spare the price of a coffee to help Scar, or even just share this link, it would genuinely mean the world. He’s only six months old, full of mischief, and absolutely doesn’t deserve to have his story end here.
Thank you so much for reading, donating, or sharing
