A Second Chance at Life—Please Help Sean Heal
One moment, my nephew Sean Sullivan was doing what he loved—surfing the cold, wild waters of the Northern California coast.
Moments later, one-third of his heart was dying from a sudden and complete blockage of the “Widow Maker” artery.
Sean is only 46 years old. He had no warning signs. No known health conditions. No medications.
What he did have was a recent divorce that financially devastated him, forcing impossible choices—including letting go of health insurance just to stay afloat.
Thanks to fast-acting paramedics, a long ambulance ride through fog and winding roads, and a brilliant medical team, Sean survived. A stent was placed through his wrist. His life was saved.
But survival is only the beginning.
Sean now faces overwhelming medical bills, ongoing heart care, medications, and months of recovery—all without insurance. The stress of this financial burden threatens to overshadow the miracle of his survival.
Sean is a gentle soul—a surfer, a musician, a man of faith—who has always lived simply and given generously. In his own words:
“The Lord graciously let me live to surf another wave and write another song.”
We are asking for your help to make sure that second chance isn’t weighed down by crushing debt.
Your donation helps cover medical costs, recovery care, and basic living expenses while Sean heals.
Your share helps reach someone who may be able to help.
Your kindness helps turn a near-tragedy into a story of community and hope.
Thank you for standing with Sean in this moment. Every gesture matters.
