Hi, my name is Mikki, and I'm fundraising for my brother, Earl Hankins, who is courageously battling heart failure - a condition that has drastically impacted his health, his independence, and his everyday life.

Earlier this year, Earl began experiencing intense fatigue, difficulty breathing, and chest pain. After several doctor visits and hospital stays, Earl, at 43 years old, received the devastating diagnosis: congestive heart failure. My family was distraught. How does this happen to someone with a clean bill of health? Earl is facing not only a challenging medical battle but also the overwhelming financial burden that comes with it.

Earl has been in and out of the hospital undergoing treatments, tests, and procedures - all while trying to maintain hope and strength. Earl was recently hospitalized and underwent 3 surgeries in 1 week. The doctors have informed my family that it will be a long road to recovery for Earl, which includes frequent hospital visits and lifestyle changes that are impossible to manage without support.

Earl is an incredible, nurturing father of 3 boys. He's kind, funny, and loves sports (GO BROWNS!!). Earl is the type of person who would give his last to others. He's compassionate, generous, and loving. Earl lost income due to this illness and will need 24-hour care for the foreseeable future.
