Hi, friends, family, and kind strangers—

My name is Josh Bradshaw. This summer, my wife Courtney and I are preparing to welcome our third child—a beautiful baby boy. We’ve been doing everything we can to make sure he enters the world surrounded by love, stability, and support. But despite our best efforts, we’ve found ourselves in a tough spot, and we’re reaching out for a little help.

Earlier this year, I arranged a parental leave from work so I could be fully present for my family during this important time. I’m incredibly grateful to be receiving Employment Insurance during this leave— however, it’s not enough to cover our basic expenses, especially with rent, food, bills, and everything that comes with preparing for a new baby.

Adding to the challenge, Courtney was unexpectedly let go from her job in January while 16 weeks pregnant. Since then, she has applied to countless positions, hoping to contribute financially while carrying our son and caring for our other two children. Despite her determination, she hasn’t been able to secure employment—and now, with the due date quickly approaching, we’re simply out of time. On the low end, this unfortunate circumstance has cost in excess of $10,000 over the past 4 months.

We’re not looking for handouts—we’re asking for a bridge to get through this temporary but crucial moment. Every dollar raised will go toward essential living costs while I’m on leave so we can bring our son into the world with peace of mind.

And I want to be clear: this support will not go forgotten. When our financial situation improves, I am committed to giving back—dollar for dollar—through donations to local charities and by paying it forward through community volunteer work.
