A Sanctuary for all of the Eddy Dogs
Donation protected
Help me to raise money for a fur-ever home for Eddy, my sweetest girl, and other pups who deserve peace in a stable sanctuary home in Massachusetts.
Make your contribution with a note to #KeepIt! and if I don't make my goal by 12/31/2025, I'll reformulate my plan into something more reachable with the "KeepIt" contributions made. ***OR*** Make your contribution with a note to #UseIt! and if I don't make my goal by 12/31/2025 I will use your funds to make a donation to another existing rescue in Massachusetts such as Paws New England, Buddy Dog, or other (I'll let you know if I do).
In moving water, an eddy is a place where water flows upstream. Eddies can be found even in the most tumultuous waters. If you know how to spot an eddy, and if you move carefully, with intention, and skill, you can sneak into the eddy and find solace in the torrent. You can literally flow upstream while chaos flows past.
How many people have found an eddy in their rescue pups? How many people have found safety, comfort, and respite from the chaos of life in their relationships with a dog? And how many pups have found an eddy in their humans?
I want to give my Eddy a home she can stay in forever. I want to have enough land that I can grow that space into a canine sanctuary! I want to take in fosters and love them until they can find a home. I have love - so much love - to give. What I don't have are funds to get things moving to buy land in Massachusetts. I need your help to allow me to find a home with land, and then to turn that land into a sanctuary.
I can't do it without you. I've spent almost all of my life in non-profit work and I am so happy to have given all I have to people who needed a leg-up. I'd love to start my own non-profit, giving a leg-up to pups who have no other place to turn - the ones who are difficult but who deserve love, too; to doggos who have arrived in Massachusetts safe from euthanasia in the south, but still with no place to go; to the elderly dogs who now need care that their humans can't afford to give; to the sweet canine babies displaced because of a life tragedy; to any dog in need.
My starting goal is $100,000. That's a LOT of money in the world! In Massachusetts, that's not a lot at all. If I get to 100K, then I can buy land. I'll still need to spend a lot of time growing that property & modifying it to turn it into a sanctuary - maybe a decade or more. If I can build enough momentum to raise even more, the dream will be realized sooner.
12/31/2025 is the goal deadline. When you contribute, please add a note to #KeepIt! or #UseIt! If I don't make the goal, then all #KeepIt! donations will be tabulated and reformed into a new goal and all #UseIt! donations will be donated to another existing Massachuseets-based rescue organization (Like Paws New England, Buddy Dog, The MA ARL, or other).
I know it's a pipe dream! But even in the climate we are in, I still believe in dreaming big, helping others, and doing all we can to make the world...the whole world...better.
Thanks to all for reading, considering, and donating!
Love to all,
Abby & Eddy
