Thanks so much for considering a donation! My name is Sarah and I am Mac's mom and full-time caregiver. Mac has severe nonverbal autism along with, epilepsy, pica, fear of medical care and about 6 other diagnosis. Mac struggles with elopement and refusing to go into medical facilities. At times Mac has ran into traffic, ran away from drs offices and ran into rivers/lakes. He is not aware of danger, eats non food items and does not fear or understand fires or dangerous chemicals. Mac also has low muscle tone and often does not want to walk for extended periods. Due to his epilepsy Mac can become over heated and suffer seizures. After Mac has a seizure, having a wheelchair to safely get him in and out of the hospital is necessary. Mac is 80lbs and it has become much harder for me to carry him in emergency situations. For those reasons it is extremely important that Mac be in a safe stroller that supports his needs. I am humbly asking for small donations to make this happen for us. I have been denied by the state, insurance, Shriners and flex funding. All of which his drs wrote referrals and letters explaining why it's so important that Mac have a safety stroller. I am not needing a brand new stroller but even used they still cost $1,500-$2,000. I am so thankful for any and all donations no matter the amount and will continue to pursue other revenues for my son. Thank you for reading and God bless.
