A safe home for Taki

Community - Taki needs your support

Unfortunately one of the local businesses has threatened if Taki enters their premsis again, that we will never see her again.

Luckily this business is up for sale so hopefully we just need to wait out this period until it changes hands so that Taki can be safer in the area.

Taki’s wild life carer is going away for a couple of months, which means we need to provide Taki a safe place to live until she comes back. We have come up with a plan with her carer to place her in a beautiful Avery for this short period of time until she returns and the business is sold.

Unfortunately averys are not cheap, so we are putting together a “Gofund me “ page for her to help pay for the food and shelter during this uncertain period.

As a community we are all aware that Taki is a free roaming, however she does stick to the urban areas and loves humans. We would never usually ask for anything, but if we all gave just $5 instead of buying a coffee one day, this would raise which would cover her bills to stay at an Avery. This Avery is being built to help house and rehabilitate other birds, namely native birds. So it won’t just be for taki, but it will become a safe haven and half way house for wildlife that needs rehabilitation.
