KDCA's Mission & Why We Exist:

Kimmy D’s Christian Academy was created with one purpose: to provide children with a safe, structured, faith‑centered place to learn, grow, and discover who God created them to be. After serving as the director of a profound and respected childcare center in our city for eight years, I witnessed firsthand how powerful a nurturing, Christ‑focused environment can be for children and families. I loved my work deeply — the children, the staff, the parents, the daily teaching, the training, the ministry woven into every moment.

But when new board members came in and changed my job duties, everything shifted. Instead of being with the children and leading the staff, I was reassigned to fundraising, donation requests, and community promotion. It would have taken me away from the classroom — away from the very heart of why I became a teacher. I went to school for education. I earned my degree with purpose. I knew I could not allow anything or anyone to detour me from the calling God placed on my life.

With prayer, courage, and clarity, I made the difficult decision to step away. And that decision birthed something greater: Kimmy D’s Christian Academy, a nonprofit private educational facility dedicated to Christian education, homeschool support, tutoring, and spiritual development.

KDCA is designed to meet the needs of families who want more than academics — they want a place where their children can learn Scripture, build character, feel loved, nurtured, safe, and supported, and grow in confidence, purpose, and God‑given identity.

We are already seeing incredible movement through our outreach program, Blessings on Blessings, which is incorporated into KDCA. Through this program, we collect donations such as non‑perishable foods, clothing, hygiene items, and other essentials to support individuals and families in need. Even in our very small current location, we have been able to serve our community with what we have — and we are truly grateful for the space God has provided.

Why We Are Requesting Support:

To fully serve our students and expand our outreach, we need a larger building — a space with more classrooms, an outreach room for Blessings on Blessings, additional restrooms, a kitchen, and room to grow. Your support will help us secure a facility that allows us to operate effectively, safely, and with excellence. We will remain in our current location until God opens the door for the right building, but we are preparing now for what is coming.

Every donation helps us move closer to opening our doors wider and becoming an even greater blessing to families who are praying for a place like this. KDCA is more than a school — it is a ministry, a refuge, and a foundation for the next generation.
