Help Us Keep Saving Lives: A Safe Haven for Cats in Need

Every cat deserves a safe place to land. Please help us replace the garage door that has sheltered hundreds of rescued cats on their journey from the streets to loving homes.

For years, this garage has been so much more than a garage. It has been a lifeline. A temporary sanctuary. A safe haven for cats who have nowhere else to go.

As a rescue group without a physical shelter, we rely on this essential space to give cats a place to decompress after rescue, recover after veterinary care, and settle into safety while we search for a foster home. For frightened cats coming off the streets, it is often their first chance to rest, feel secure, and begin to trust again.

Hundreds of cats have passed through this space over the years. Hundreds of lives have been changed because it was there.

Among them was the entire Auto Shop Rescue colony. When we needed somewhere to bring 12 cats at once, this garage made it possible. Without it, we would have had nowhere to safely house them. That space gave us the ability to step in, get them off the streets, and give them a chance at a better life.
And now, this little sanctuary needs our help.

The Storm Has Left Us With an Urgent Problem!

The recent nor’easter has finally taken its toll on our old garage door. After years of wear and exposure to the elements, the door has warped and broken off at the bottom, leaving a large gap that creates a serious risk of a cat escaping.

We cannot safely continue using this space with the door in its current condition. These cats depend on a secure environment, and their safety must come first.

The cost to replace the door with a new, insulated one is $2,200. For a small rescue group already stretched thin by the ongoing costs of food, litter, medical care, and emergency rescues, this is a significant and unexpected expense.

But we cannot afford to lose this space.

❤️ Please Help Us Keep This Lifeline Open

We may not have a traditional shelter, but we have never stopped trying to help the cats who need us. We make do with what we have, relying on our small network of fosters, the kindness of our supporters, and every safe space available to us.

This garage is an essential part of that mission. It bridges the gap between life on the streets and life in a loving home. It gives cats somewhere to go when they have been rescued but aren't yet ready to move into a foster home. It gives them time to relax, settle down, and feel safe after everything they have endured.

Without this space, our ability to rescue cats in urgent need would be severely limited.

We are asking for your help to raise $2,200 to replace the garage door and protect this vital safe haven.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal. If you can contribute $5, $10, $25, or whatever you are able to give, please know that it truly matters. And if you cannot donate right now, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and fellow animal lovers would mean the world to us.

When you help repair this door, you are doing so much more than fixing a garage. You are helping create a safe landing place for the next frightened cat pulled from the streets. You are helping us say yes when a cat needs somewhere to go. You are helping save lives.

The cats who have already passed through this space cannot tell you how much it meant to have somewhere safe to rest. But their survival stories tell us everything we need to know.

Please help us keep the door open to hope, healing, and second chances.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for caring, for believing in our mission, and for helping us continue to save the lives of cats who have no one else to turn to.

With gratitude and love,
