Dear friends and community,

I am reaching out to support my dear friend Chi Young Kim in traveling to Korea for a deeply meaningful ancestral pilgrimage next month.

This fundraiser will help send Chi Young on an ancestral pilgrimage to Taebaek Mountain in the Gangwon Province of Korea. Anchored in indigenous Korean cosmology and land based ritual, the pilgrimage includes visits to this sacred mountain and ancestral sites, ceremony, offerings, storytelling, and guided reflection to honor lineage and tend intergenerational healing. This ceremonial and relational journey supports reconnection with culture, land, and ancestors, offering a profound opportunity to reclaim belonging and return home in body and spirit.

Your support will go toward covering the program contribution and various facilitators' fees as well as flight and travel costs.

Because the initial payments support teacher honorariums and lodging reservations, raising funds early is especially impactful. If you’re considering donating, giving in the first weeks of this campaign will help ensure she can move forward with confidence.

Chi Young has devoted much of her life and work to helping others reclaim relationship with their ancestors, themselves, and the larger community of the living Earth. I have witnessed many times her wise, compassionate, and powerful presence. She meets each person with steadiness and respect, guiding them gently back toward connection, lineage, and home.

There is something profoundly beautiful about supporting a healer in tending to her own roots. I believe the good earth herself is nourished when her people remember her. When ancestral lines are honored and rooted with the land, something in the greater web of life settles and strengthens for us all.
