A Sacred Reset: Help a Mama Heal & Rebuild After Traumatic Brain Injury

On January 26th, 2025, my beloved friend Lauren — a devoted mother of five — sustained a concussion. Just days later, on February 2nd, she suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) that altered the course of her life. Her medical team has urged her to prioritize deep rest and healing for at least six months.

Alongside managing her medical condition, which includes: weekly visits to physical and occupational therapy appointments, doctors appointments to continue care for her two herniated discs, ophthalmology appointments for double vision, and care with her neurologist, she has been homeless since August.

She has been blessed by being able to borrow a friends vehicle but it is not suitable for winter. The complex cognitive and physical symptoms of her TBI have also made consistent employment impossible — leaving her in urgent need of support.

Despite borrowing a friend’s car, and doing everything she can to stay afloat, the pressure has become unsustainable. It’s time to create a safe and stable foundation so she can heal and rebuild her life with dignity.

A Sacred Pause & a New Beginning

Through Spirit, silence, medical wisdom, and soul reflection, she’s been shown that this moment is not an end, but a sacred reset. Not just a pause, but a turning point. Not just survival, but sovereignty.

To support this reset, we are raising funds to help her:

Secure housing that she has found as of November 1 covering the six months of living expenses, allowing space for true rest, recovery. The space is $2,200 a month and has enough bedrooms for all her minor children. The landlord will cover propane. She needs to cover electricity.

Obtain a dependable vehicle to meet basic needs like food, medical appointments, and supporting her children’s transportation needs.

Stabilize enough to gently return to her creative livelihood over time.

This mother has always shared her light through natural handmade creations and ceremonial offerings — connecting to the Earth and community with love, integrity, and presence. She has experience selling at farmers markets and artisan events, and as she heals, this work remains her most aligned path forward.
