Dear Friends and Family of Charlene “Queenie” Johnson,

Last October, our beloved Mama Charlene made her transition to the realm of the ancestors. She was a woman whose spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to be in her presence, and it is now our honor to give her the farewell she deserves.

In accordance with her wishes, Mama Charlene was cremated. Her ashes are to be interred at a sacred location that reflects the deep love she held for the natural world. We have chosen EcoEternity Forest at Camp Highroad in Northern Virginia a living, sacred space where her spirit can rest among the trees, the earth, and the life she so cherished.

We are working to hold this final ceremony by the end of May 2026, bringing family and loved ones together to witness her return to the land. To make this possible, we are raising $5,000 to cover the costs of the interment and service. Every dollar contributed brings us one step closer to honoring Charlene the way she deserves.
