Loops for Allen

 

So in 30 days we would have been celebrating Allen’s 57th birthday. He is no longer with us and his suffering from Cancer is a thing of the past, but in his memory, I have been floating the idea of doing our own Sufferfest to celebrate his life. I got enough knuckle heads to agree that they would do it with me, so am posting it up on Facebook along with a link to a GoFundMe page making 100% of contributions towards MD Anderson University Hospital.

 

Here’s the plan, on December 12th (Not Allen’s birthday but 4 days after) at 7am to 9am whomever is up to the challenge will be doing loops around Allen’s neighborhood. As many as you are interested in doing and in whatever mode of transport that makes you come out for the day. I intend to run 57 loops. Its approximately a .4 mile loop so something like 23 miles (Hope is still checking my math). But you can do one loop, two loops, bike it, rollerblade it, drive it (Joe Cseh idea) or do it as a relay. Its just another opportunity to think about our dear friend and raise money to try and eradicate this dread disease #FuckCancer.
