Hey Everyone!
It's time...demo time! Mom and dad found us a great house a few years back and we have quickly made it a home. Everything is on the main floor and they even added a front ramp and an accessible patio!
But I need some space of my own as I grow. My room is my favorite place, mom and I decorated it to look like the inside of a cupcake, sprinkles and all! I also love crashing mom and dad's bathroom for showers and to hose dad off.
But did you hear I hit double digits!?!? 10 years old is practically a teenager right? Mom and dad found great contractors and they will be surveying the space to turn our garage into an accessible suite. My own larger room and roll in shower. Even a kitchenette for me to grow into when I'm too cool for mom and dad.
The expense of the renovation is big. Mom and dad say every time you choose family, it's the right choice. The choice to turn the garage into an Elliot-Suite-Extraordinaire is the right choice! Did I mention the interior design will be all my inspiration...theme = CATS!
Your dollars will go directly to the cost of turning our house into the safest space for me to be cared for and grow. How amazing would it be to be able to open my bedroom door to find a shower made just right for me? Or a space for all my books? Even somewhere cozy to snuggle up and rest?
Mom and dad said this is a for-life renovation. They seem to need me to stick around this house for a while, even when I am an adult. (what would they do without me anyway?) I may have to let them down lightly since I plan to be a marine biologist, but maybe just maybe I can keep them company while I do big things ;).

A note from mom and dad:
Hey all!
Thank you for your support of our family. We believe we are responsible for our community and they are responsible for us. This is a big ask. A call to action for help for our family.
We have committed to a loan to pay for this critical step toward preserving Elliot's mobility, independence and dignity. We are asking for help because the significant cost puts a heavy burden on our family's ability to prepare for future needs as we address this debt.
We will renovate.
We will provide for our family.
Those are never in question.
We are asking for help recovering from the cost and want to bring you all along for real time updates on progress of the project.
All our love - The Parkers
