A Room for TJ

TJ Johnston is one of the most influential and hard-hitting journalists in San Francisco reporting on poverty and homelessness. His sharp analyses of policies impacting homeless people have been printed in Street Sheet, 48 Hills, Public Press, Invisible People, and others.

TJ is also the assistant editor of the Street Sheet, a local newspaper that offers the word on the street from people who have lived it. The valuable work TJ offers comes in part from his own experience as a homeless person here in San Francisco.

While the coronavirus has spread through San Francisco and the world, TJ lost his bed at a local shelter. Now he needs a safe place to shelter during this quarantine. We are fundraising to get TJ a hotel room for the next two months, because everyone has the right to follow medical guidelines during a pandemic. And also because everyone has the right to be housed, always.

Please give what you can to keep TJ Johnston safe!
