A Roof Over Darren's Head

Hi, My name is Michelle and I am fund-raising to support my old mate Darren Waller to have a safe place to live with his dog Bow. On Monday 16th June Darren was involved in a fatal accident with a motorbike rider. The rider of the bike was someone Darren knew, and the 26 year old rider was sadly killed instantly. Darren's minibus, which he has been living in for several years burst into flames. Darren lost everything except the clothes he was wearing and his dog Bow! He sustained minor burns while trying to extinguish the fire! Darren is once again homeless and traumatised.

Darren is well known to the homeless community of the Moreton Bay Region. He is known for his big heart and willingness to support and help others.

Darren is also no stranger to trauma. He lost his partner to Stage 4 Cancer a few years back, and has been struggling with significant mental health challenges for many years.

I humbly ask that you consider making a donation to support Darren - he has given me permission to organise this fundraiser, because as we all know, there is no housing for our homeless - and it is winter and bloody cold. Ideally, it would be great to raise enough money for a campervan, but any support would be welcomed and appreciated!
